Klau Chmielowska is a Research Fellow at the Global Policy Institute and Founder of Lafiya Nigeria (http://www.lafiyanigeria.org/), a global health non-profit organisation that focuses on strengthening the social infrastructure of Nigeria by empowering women to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. Their organisation targets the most underserved and hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria.
Klau holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford. She has conducted research for the University of Piura in Peru and the Industry Forum, a London based business policy forum. Klau also has professional experience in management consulting and digital technology, having worked extensively in the financial and environmental sectors.
Klau’s research interest focuses on the links between global health and international security and conflict, especially in the context of sub-Saharan Africa and China.
