The Global Policy Institute (GPI London) is an independent and non-partisan think tank that was founded in 2007 to analyse questions of globalisation and the changing world order. The Institute is based in the City of London and draws on a rich pool of international thinkers, academics as well as policy and business professionals. The Institute gives non-partisan guidance to policymakers and decision makers in business, government, and NGOs.
GPI also offers a range of advisory services for public and private sector organisations. These are based on our research resources, network and experience, and can be provided, if necessary, working with other organisations or individuals.
We produce rigorous research reports and collateral to help organisations answer specific questions for internal and external audiences, using a mix of qualitative and quantitative insights and methods.
We provide analysis and insight on global economic, geopolitical and country specific themes and risks, such as conflicts, power shifts and elections, as well as trends in economic policy and statecraft.
We provide long-term scenario planning and horizon scanning to help prepare organisations for a range of possible futures, and advise on steps to manage risks and seize opportunities under various circumstances.
We support corporate strategy development, including regional and global expansion and capital allocation planning, through forward-looking regional, country and sector studies.
We help public sector clients review and identify policy options that best meet their objectives. We also build the evidence base for and support the design of policies and regulations.
We help clients identify changes to global supply and trade patterns. We also map and assess their supply chain exposure and provide advice on how to reduce vulnerabilities and boost resilience.
We provide our distinct insights and perspectives on global issues and emerging themes to stimulate debate and inform board discussions, internal working groups or corporate offsites.
We provide bespoke coaching sessions and material to senior managers and decision makers on specific global policy issues. These help to prepare before conference appearances, meetings or public hearings.
